New Bass Player!

The Bible All-Stars would like to announce the departure of bassist and co-founding member Joel Carlson. He has recently decided to leave the band to focus his energy on his family and his career. Joel will be missed from band and we wish him all the best for the future.

From Joel: "Leaving the band was a difficult decision for me. It's been awesome being a part of the Bible All-Stars and I will always be a fan and a promoter of the music. Though, I'm looking forward to devoting more time to family and career, I intend to help the guys out where possible. I wish the BAS much success for the future."

His permanent replacement will be long time friend, Mike "Spike" Lawson, who previously played guitar with Joel in the Celtic band, JIMMY GEORGE and has also played with Tim and Greg as a member of the PATSIES. As a veteran of the indie scene, Spike brings a distinctive approach to the music that will add to the band's unique country punk style. We welcome him to the band and the busy year ahead.

Spike's live performance debut with the band will be headlining the CKCU/CHUO/Steam Whistle Halloween Party at Irene's Pub (885 Bank Street) on Saturday, October 31st. The show also features Toronto's LittleFoot LongFoot, the Sin Sisters and Vancouver's the Manvils.

It's a Hallowe'en Hillbilly CRYPT de Luxe!!!

Hallowe'en is Saturday October 31 and we'll be at the Irene's Pub with Little Foot Long Foot, the Sin Sisters, and the Manvils.

We're playing Saturday September 19 at the Elmdale Tavern as part of the O-Town Hoedown with Christian D and The Hangovers and the Devillaires. No cancellations!

Frosh Week 9/11 in Kingston - CANCELLED!!

We were supposed to be playing Friday September 11 at BarNone in Kingston with the Sin Sisters and Little Foot Long Foot, but the bar went and cancelled on us at the last minute. Keep checking for updates, but our next show will be the O-Town Hoedown.

Sin vs Good (book) vs Evil

We're playing this Saturday August 22 at the Rainbow with the Sin Sisters and Evil Farm Children. That's Sin, followed by the Bible, followed by Evil. Choose your poison!

Swelter Skelter

On Saturday August 15 at the John Mlacak Centre, the Rideau Valley Roller Girls present the RVRG Slaughter Daughters vs the Green Mountain Derby Dames with half-time and after-event performances by the Bible All-Stars, plus off-track entertainment by the Mallets of Mayhem Bike Polo Team.

This is a benefit for Nelson House.

Bluesfest Byward show

On Monday July 13 we did an 11pm show at Pier 21 in the Byward Market as part of the Ottawa Bluesfest.

Mini-tour - Ottawa, Kingston, Ottawa!

These shows were muy fun - thanks to all who came out. Thursday we were live on CKCU 93.1 at 11pm, then on Friday and Saturday we played shows with Little Foot Long Foot, and the Sin Sisters.

Friday we were at BarNone in Kingston, and on Saturday back in Ottawa at Irene's.

Puppy Love

The benefit for the Ottawa Humane Society on Valentine's Day at the Elmdale Tavern with the Cutmen was a great success - we earned $1100 for our furry friends! Thanks to all who showed up!

Humane Society Benefit

The Humane Society Benefit at Irene's was Saturday, April 12. Also playing were the Rookers and Sick Sick Sicks. It was a great success - over $1100 was raised. Many thanks to all who participated in the silent auction (both providing and buying stuff), and especially to the bands for playing for a cause.

Let's Go Liberal

This is a rough mix of a song that we wrote for friends of ours who are Liberal supporters. We're not exactly liberals ourselves but we are pretty liberal thinking (particularly with our morals) but if you support the band enough ... what the hell ... Well you get the picture ... thanks for supporting the band.

the Dakota

Our first out-of-town show at the Dakota in Toronto was a lot of fun. We opened for the Evil Farm Children and much rock occurred. See? The Toronto crowd isn't as sullen and uninterested as reported.

New Year's Eve

The New Year's Eve show at Irene's was great - thanks to all who showed up with almost no warning! And thanks to Ninety Pounds of Ugly and Sick Sick Sicks for helping us out!

Never Mind the Tradition

The BushPilots' fourth annual xmas bash was December 14 at the Rainbow. Also on the bill were Good2Go. I don't remember ever playing xmas shows but this one was pretty freakin' good. Thanks to everyone who made it on a cold, cold night.

Spaghetti Western - a Clutch Vernissage

Your favourite band played the "Spaghetti Western" - themed Clutch vernissage at the Mercury Lounge on December 2. Everyone got to watch brother (Greg on guitar) vs. sister (Lori on collages) in a battle over who the 'rents love the most! I think I won.

Reverb Syndicate CD release

Our good buds the Reverb Syndicate had their CD release Saturday, November 24 at Irene's and we were on the bill along with the Evil Farm Children. The place was packed, psychobilly occurred, and there were very few deaths.

Rock and Roll Hellbender

The show on Saturday, October 27 at Irene's was a whole lotta fun. Thanks to all who showed up. There was much rejoicing.

O-town Hoedown!

The Ottawa Alt-Country weekend was a huge success! Thanks for coming out. When the All-Stars kicked out their brand of high octane Cow Punk on Saturday night with good friends Lefty McRighty and the Polymorphines the audience sure as hell knew what to do! It was a blast. If you missed this one, be sure to catch the debauchery next time around! Thanks again!

CD Release Party Success!

The Bible All-Stars would like to thank everyone who came or tried to come out! The show on September 8th was completely sold out and, damn, you guys drink a lot! Lucky Ron and 90 pounds of Ugly quickly whipped everyone into a frenzy which lasted all night. The Bible All-Stars took the stage at 11:45 and ramped up the psychobilly until the wee hours of the morning to an amazing audience who themselves became part of the show!

With interest in the CD increasing, it has become difficult for the band to follow up themselves on orders.
